SMPP delivery receipt format: fields and stat values
A delivery receipt (DLR) tells the sender what happened to a message. This is the receipt text defined in SMPP 3.4, field by field, and how Auvia Gateway writes and reads it.

FAQ
Delivery receipt questions
How is a delivery receipt sent in SMPP?
As a deliver_sm (or data_sm) from the SMSC to the ESME with esm_class marking it as a delivery receipt. The short_message carries the receipt text described on this page.
What does dlvrd mean in a DLR?
The number of messages delivered. Auvia writes one receipt per message, and per part for multipart messages, so dlvrd is 001 only when stat is DELIVRD and 000 otherwise.
Does Auvia accept receipts in other formats?
Yes. Supplier receipts are parsed in the standard format and in shortened variants, such as receipts that only carry id, done date and stat.
What happens if the customer is not connected when the receipt arrives?
Receipts to customers are retried with increasing delays, up to 8 attempts over about 6 hours, then closed instead of piling up.
